Reading My Mind

By Marshall Ballou

Years ago, when I was working at the Kushi Institute in administration, I had an interesting experience with Michio.

I have always had a telepathic relationship with him. While participating in the Spiritual Seminars I would send him a cup of tea while he was lecturing—and felt other personal messages from him.

One day at the KI when Michio was lecturing, I remember walking up the path to the lecture building, feeling so tired and unappreciated for my hard work in administration guiding people to come to our programs. I thought to myself, here I am working so hard and Michio does not even know my name.

At that moment he came out with several others, and he walked over to me on the path. “Hello, what is your name?” he asked. I said my name, and he said “Marshall, Marshall” a few times smiling, as he always does at a joke, and looked at me inside and out and then graciously moved on.

Of course, I was deeply moved and continued to give my best effort in my work. I knew he was reading my mind, and it happened a few times before that, too!
