Awns are the long bristles on the heads of grain growing in the field. Like antennae, they receive and channel the healthy and peaceful streaming energy of the sun, moon, stars, and heavens above.

Our species evolved by eating wild grains with intact awns and enjoyed a golden age. However, with the rise of civilization, awnless varieties of grains, especially rice, were preferred because they were easier to harvest.

The end result may be a gradual diminishing of consciousness and increase in strife, especially in the modern era when grains were highly refined and hybridized and light pollution blocks starlight.

Awned Is the New Organic celebrates the rediscovery of awned grains and their significance for humanity’s continued biological and spiritual evolution.
